Where do I even begin with this one?! Carly and Curtis hold a special place in my heart, mainly because Carly is one of my good friends! I was totally honored when she asked me if I wanted to photograph their Joshua Tree Wedding Day, and without any hesitation I said DUH!

The wedding took place this spring  in Joshua Tree California. I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Joshua Tree before, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I was low key obsessing over all of the Yucca Trees! Carly and Curtis found the cutest AIR BNB to host their magical day at, and now I just want to go back down there for a weekend with some friends!

Now let me gush a bit about the day, because it’s totally “swoon”worthy. When Carly told me they wanted to do a first look, I never thought it would be as emotional as it was. After the initial moment of seeing each other for the first time that day, they broke out their vow books and had a special intimate vow exchange with each other, and believe me, I was holding back the water works!

Everything about the day was beautiful! The only struggle we had all day was the crazy amount of wind! But hey, it made for some dreamy images so I’ll take it!

There was a taco truck, a churro bar, and even a tattoo booth! Don’t worry, they were just temporary tattoos, but still very very fun!
