The idea behind this styled shoot came from a vision I dreamt up revolving around a full burgundy tulle skirt. I knew I wanted the setting to be a beach, and that the skirt had to be the statement piece because the rest of the shoot was going to be quite simple. After searching for the perfect skirt, I just realized I was going to need to take matters into my own hands and create my own image. After a few trips to Joann’s Fabrics and a lot of trial & error, also lots of patience, I crafted the perfect skirt. Having fallen in love with Panther Beach from my own proposal shoot, I knew this was just the place to do the shoot. The amazing rocky cliffside added just the right amount of edge that I was looking for. I was hoping to keep this shoot small, but I managed to find a cute table and decor to use as a cake table, and found the perfect little cake from Gayles Bakery! Not to mention how yummy it was when we devoured it after the shoot. I knew that I wanted an elaborate bouquet to compliment the skirt, so I brought in The Bloom Bar Co. to help out and boy did she deliver. The flowers were so stunning and smelt so good! As for the hair and makeup, my good friends drove out from the Yosemite area just to be a part of this which was amazing. Alyssa let her creativity flow with this stunning bohemian inspired updo and Ashley went full bronze and glam for the makeup. It all pulled together beautifully in the end! Basically, this small little shoot was a dream come true for me as a creative. I can’t help but stare at these images all day long!
