Its time to break out the leggings, boots, and scarves! I mean lets be honest, I already did that about 3 weeks ago! Now that fall is here that means exciting things are about to be happening over here in the DD Photography world. Engagements, Mini Sessions, Sales, and prep work for the busy season next spring!

I can't wait to share all of the new and exciting things with all of you! Be sure to stay tuned!

Rachael & Jimmy | Wedding

This was my first time photographing an elopement, and I was really happy with how everything came out!

Rachael and Jimmy have been together for 10 years, which is a long time if you ask me! After getting engaged, they were planning a huge wedding of about 400 people. It was going to be a giant party! But about a month ago, Rachael contacted me and expressed that they had changed their minds about a big wedding and how they wanted to elope in Kennedy Meadows, CA! I honestly couldn't have been more thrilled for them!

The day began with details and I’ve never been so impressed. From the bouquet that was supplied by Bonny Doon Garden Company, down to her garter, everything was flawless. The girls were getting ready and the room was full of laughter and love as Rachael got ready for the big day. They boys on the other hand were having a good time relaxing at the campground while they waited on the girls.

When it came time for the first look, Rachael became so nervous all of the sudden; and while Jimmy claimed he was calm, you could tell he was excited to see his bride to be! It was amazing to witness the reactions from both of them when they saw each other. Even after 10 years together, the excitement to finally become husband and wife couldn't have been stronger.

The day was beautiful from start to finish, and I am so blessed to have been apart of Rachael and Jimmy’s special day.

Breanna & Harrison | Wedding

Breanna and Harrison are quite possibly the cutest bride and groom I’ve gotten to know. I was looking forward to this day for months, and it was everything I had imagined. The morning was filled with last minute finishes and alot of laughter coming from the bridal suite! These girls were so much fun to be around with, and from the moment I arrived I felt like I was apart of the group.

When it came time to set up the first look, I was just as excited as Breanna and Harrison. You can just feel the emotion in the images, it was amazing to be apart of that special moment in the day. From there, they day flew by. But not before we were able to get some stunning portraits in the field of tall grass; which had my name written all over it!

I am so excited to share my top favorites from this day with you. Enjoy!
XO, Danyelle

Maesey & Andrew | Wedding

I feel like it was just the other week I was doing engagement photos for these two! I knew from the start that this wedding was going to be beautiful. Down to the very last little detail. I had my work cut out for me that's for sure!

The wedding took place on Maesey's family property that overlooks the entire city of Sonora. The view was completely breathtaking.

With ten bridesmaids and nine grooms, this makes one of the largest bridal parties I've photographed. And let me tell you, fitting that many people into the frame is not the easiest! Especially when you have a group of rowdy men who are excited to get that party started! haha

Overall I couldnt have asked for a more relaxed day. When we fell behind schedule, Maesey and Andrew were great about making small changes here and there to compensate for lost time. And I was overwhelmed with the amount of love that everyone has for this amazing couple. With 400 guests, its easy to imagine getting lost in the blur of the evening between hundreds of hugs and being stolen away to dance and chat!

If I could, I would reshoot this wedding over and over again! Enjoy some of my top favorites from the day!

Megan & Kevin | Engaged

Honestly this is probably one of my favorite couples to date! From the second I met them and started to discuss what we wanted to do with their engagement photos, I knew we needed to do something fun. Megan's bouncy personality mixed with Kevin's calm demeanor was all captured in this fun yet serene session at the boardwalk.

While walking from spot to spot, I was able to really get to know them a little more and ask them about the proposal! Who doesn't love a good proposal story right? Her love for Disneyland made the perfect setting for Kevin to pop the question on her birthday in front of Cinderella's castle (after many attempts to do so at the wishing well). Everything about this story made my heart swoon. And not to mention that ring! He did very well don't you think?

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day with these two, and I just love how the images came out. I am now even more thrilled to photograph their wedding day! But until then, take a look at some of my absolute favorites from the session!

Mikaela's Senior Portraits

Words cannot begin to describe how incredibly proud I am of this girl! After working her butt off to earn her Bachelors degree at Cal Poly, she just secured a spot at Loma Linda University School of Public Health!

I was able to drive down to San Louis Obispo to have some much needed girl time with her and while I was there we drove out to Avila Beach and took her senior photos! It was so much fun to wander around this cute little beach town, admire the beautiful sunset, and afterwords enjoyed an amazing dinner!
