When I asked Kyrstyn if she wanted to do a quick session for me at the beach in Monterey, I never knew it was going to turn out this gorgeous! I chose to do the photos at Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove, California. This is hands down my all time favorite beach to shoot at. The light is ALWAYS amazing, and not to mention the combo of sand and rocks just makes it the perfect beach to play around with!
I know this stunning girl from high school and I am so blessed to have friends that are always up for letting me play around with my camera. All winter long I didn’t really pick up my camera much, and I was itching for a fun session just for myself. No pressure, no timelines, just me remembering what I love so much about what I do.
Kyrstyn and her new Husband, Chance, just tied the knot a few months ago, and I had wanted to photograph them for awhile now, so this was my perfect opportunity! They lived right around the corner from this beach for a bit, so this location also had some sentimental notes for them which was an added bonus!
Now let me talk about this bouquet for a minute. I have a thing for Trader Joe’s flowers, and I may or may not moonlight as a florist. I LOVE playing with stems. It’s really therapeutic for me! It might have something to do with my artistic upbringing, but I just love being creative and making beautiful things. Whether that be in the form of photography, flowers, home design and decor, or baking. I just love to create! And I definitely did a happy dance when I walked into the store that day and saw all of these peach toned peonies, and seeded eucalyptus!
Just a PSA to all of my couples. Book your session at the beach, wear a stunning maxi dress, and bring a big beautiful bouquet. You will not be sorry you did!
